Block Partners
A dynamic ministry reaching the heart of our community through an adopt-a-block style event. Once a month, we rope off an entire block and give the community in the direct vicinity a chance to simply enjoy their Saturday morning through entertainment, and fun in a safe environment.
Catalyst
A traveling church staff capable of covering every aspect of church ministry. We have powerful, experienced preachers and worship team members, and we travel to churches to offer pastoral staff a small reprieve from their normal schedule. It is our goal to be a catalyst of God’s passionate love to every congregation.
Crossroads
A traveling team centered on servant-hood, improv drama, and building relationships. We serve at youth conventions, youth groups, school events, CBC events, and any other time we are given the opportunity to perform, or simply lend a helping hand. We are an improv team, but our main ministry is building relationships through serving others, and one another.
Encounter
A traveling children’s ministry team covering every aspect of a children’s church service. From puppets, to worship, to preaching the word, we are fully equipped to take over any Sunday school/children’s church service. We offer the children’s staff an opportunity to have a well-deserved day of rest and make it our goal to impact kids with Christ’s love.
Footsteps
A team of CBC students who have a heart for youth in the foster care system. Twice a month we travel to a foster care transitional home to build relationships and show the love of Christ. It is our desire to meet the needs of those who others may have forgotten.
Hands of Hope
A hands-on ministry team serving Christ through Convoy of Hope. We volunteer once a week on Tuesday to help bag groceries soon to be distributed. We proudly minister in a behind-the-scenes role to meet immediate, practical needs.
Hillcrest
We impact Hillcrest High School through building relationships on a weekly basis. We leave CBC each Tuesday and Thursday to eat lunch with students and connect with them, offering friendship. We also provide an after-school study program on Thursdays.
John B Hughes
We show apartment residents the love of God through dependable relationships and teaching of the Word. Each Wednesday we travel to local Springfield area apartments to host a Sidewalk Sunday School program. This ministry offers the community an opportunity to experience the gospel, when many of them have no other way to hear it.
Redeeming Rahab
We’re a ministry dedicated to the prevention and end of the sex trafficking trade. Through once a week focused prayers after chapel, events in the community and on campus, prayer walks, and 5k runs, we’re raising awareness in and around CBC and the Springfield community.
Reed Middle School
We serve through twice-a-week teacher assistance at Reed Academy. Our primary goal is to simply go and serve school teachers and staff by grading papers, running school based errands, and interacting with students. We have the unique opportunity to bring the gospel into the school system by displaying the love of God, instead of preaching it.
Streets
A local evangelism team that ministers on the streets of downtown Springfield, wherein we build relationships with the community. Our prayer is to witness to those to whom God opens the conversation, and to also listen to those in need. We first cover our ministry in prayer, and then leave CBC every Friday at 9 pm.
Victory Mission
Relational evangelism to the homeless community of Springfield at Victory Mission. We hold a monthly church service and also serve regularly each Wednesday. Our ministry includes worship, preaching of the Word, and revealing God’s love to those who may not see it any other way.
