Coach Lynn Hanson


Hanson graduated from Central Bible College (Springfield, MO) with a Bachelor of Arts of Religious Education. She continued her education at Columbia College earning a BA in Psychology. In 1987, she earned a Master's of Education degree from Drury University (Sprinfield, MO) with a Physical Education emphasis.

In 1979, Hanson started a volleyball club team for the ladies of CBC. In 1980, the first collegiate volleyball program for Central Bible College was established under her leadership. In her career, the Lady Spartans have been to the NCCAA-II (National Christian College Athletic Association division II) National Volleyball Tournament five times. Her teams have had five Central Region Championships and five Interstate Conference Championships.

Coach Lynn Hanson works side-by-side with her husband Kirk, CBC athletic director and men's head basketball coach. They have been happily married for 35 years and they have two children, Tiffany and Blake. Tiffany (Perkins) married a former basketball player for the Spartans, Tim Perkins.
