Finding Books

Books can be found by author, title, subject, and keyword through the CBC online catalog by going to www.cbcag.edu/library and clicking on the first panel labeled ?Library Catalog.?

Requesting Books

To request a book owned by the CBC Library, send an email to ndonnell@cbcag.edu. Each request must include the student?s name, course name, term in which the course is taken, and the student?s ID number.

Books are due back at the CBC Library 30 days from the date they were shipped from CBC. Books are not normally renewed, but in some cases permission may be extended if the book is not requested by another patron.

Late fees for books kept longer than permitted are subject to a fine of 25 cents per day.

Students are responsible for postage to return books to the library which loaned the book.

To obtain a book not owned by the CBC Library, use the interlibrary loan services of your local public library.

Finding Periodical Articles

To find periodical article citations and full-text articles, go to www.cbcag.edu/library and click on the second panel labeled ?Periodicals and the Internet.? Click on the ?Periodical? option and you will find several electronic databases. InfoTrac indexes about 1,200 journals from all subject areas, with full-text for more than 600 journals. ATLA Religion Database indexes 1,523 journals and full-text from about 60 periodicals.

Current students may access the databases for periodicals. Request a user ID and password by sending an email request to clll@cbcag.edu. Be sure to include your name, user ID and password to verify enrollment status.

Passwords for these databases may be changed for security reasons. If you have trouble accessing one of the databases, please send an email to clll@cbcag.edu.

Requesting Periodical Articles

To determine if a periodical is owned by the CBC Library, click on the holdings list at www.cbcag.edu/library and click on the second panel labeled ?Periodicals and the Internet.? Click on the ?Periodical? option and then click on ?Library Periodical Holdings.?

To request a periodical article owned by the CBC Library, an email can be sent to ndonnell@cbcag.edu. Each request must include the student?s name, course name, term in which the course is taken, and the student?s ID number.

To obtain a periodical article not owned by the CBC Library, use the interlibrary loan services of your local public library.
